Some Cingular employees must have been overjoyed this weekend. Seems Treo 750 demo units started showing up in a few Cingular stores recently. Is it the same thing as the Vodafone version? Yes. Are all the features still the same? Yes. But do we care because we’re fanatical geeks? Sadly, yes. It’s still looking good and has a “Q4 release date,” but with only 13 days left in December, we’re not sure if it’s going to stay true to that statement.

  • Anyone know what the price of this little baby is going to be without a new activation?

  • You sure that isn’ the 680? I met a palm PR rep last week and he confirmed the later 2007 release of 750 for Cingular.

  • Whats the point of getting all crazy about a phone that is going to be released on Cingular? Maybe I’ll get excited when it comes out on an EVDO network.

Why would anyone want to use a smart phone on the EDGE network?

  • Heard from a sales rep that Palm handheld sales have gone down as a result of this Treo – the next must-have.

  • At least it’s running Windows Mobile, nothing pisses me off more than when one of my Execs calls me wanting a Treo on the Palm OS. Versamail sucks for connecting to an exchange server and I may be stingy but I’d rather not buy a third party app to do what WM5 can do on it’s own. I’m still waiting for the Palm OS to work with the BES like people have rumored.
