If you’re strapped for gift ideas for Xmas and know someone with an iPod Nano, you may want to check out some of the new cases from BoxWave. With just five days left to shop, these affordable iPod Nano 2G cases are great gifts for anyone who’s got/is getting a Nano.
There’s the Active Case for $15, a clear, hard-plastic case that’s pretty basic. The Designio Leather Case (pictured) is an all out black leather case and comes with a padded front cover for $30. Finally, there’s the Designio Leather Sleeve for $26 in pink or black. Personally, I’d go for the Designio Leather Sleeve but if you’re on a budget, I’m sure the $15 Active Case (read: ugly) will do just fine.

For some odd reason, this reminds me of the wickedly overpriced “ipod sock” that Steve tried to peddle a few conferences ago. I think CrunchGear should begin having a list of “no, we will not review these items anymore”… first thing I wish to nominate is
IPOD CASES of ANY kind!

ps: alternatively, you can have a ipodcases.crunchgear.com for those with case fetishes

I think the Leather case is a crazy bargain. Last I saw, the leather cases at the Apple stores were all 90 and up. They look slick and I can see how certain people might be interested.
I, personally am not a fan of cases of any form. I like the white sleeve that comes with the nano and the video. It allows for the device to be slim and semiprotected from scratches and dust.

I would never buy/suggest buying/consider buying/mention buying a Nano for anyone, but I would get the Leather Case for someone whom had the misfortune of obtaining one. Looks clean, considering it’s the type of case in which you can’t actually see your iPod.

Isn’t it the whole point of buying an ipod to flash it off to friends and family so they think your cool? Of all the “cases” out there, this one does the best job of undoing the cool factor. This looks like my grandmothers eye-glasses case!
