If you have an affinity for things in alligator skin, this might be right up your alley. Luxury men’s goods maker Dunhill will be releasing a special version of the iPod HiFi speaker system wrapped in fine alligator skin. Everything else will be the same as the regular iPod HiFi, so basically you’re paying for luxurious alligator skin and a brand name. Though it’s hand-crafted and worked with great precision…
No price has been announced but don’t go looking for this in your local Apple store—Dunhill’s special iPod speakers will only be available directly from the company.

This is nice! I wonder what the sound quality is like… hopefully the quality exterior matches the interior engineering! If your good with a sewing machine, may be worth your while stripping the skin off this speaker and making a good pair of shoes - then you get two products for the price of one… just spray paint the “naked” speakers black and call it a Bose system… nobody will be the wiser! ;-)

I actually was at a friends and heard the regular iPod HiFi. It sounds pretty good, and is well built. Alligator skin on it, adds some design element and probably passes many of our WAF factor for gadgets. (Wife Acceptance Factor)
