Or why not never carry anything, other than using better batteries themselves, like the new AA USBCELL Rechargeable batteries available in North America and Europe , or phone cell batteries http://www.usbcell.com/products

For PDA's and Mp3 players that accept 5V inputs, you can create your own. However, the 20 dollar price (if thats for the 4 AAA battery version, it might just be cheap enough to go buy this). Plus this looks a lot slicker than an Altoid box with a bunch of wires sticking out of it.

I REALLY like this, I am in the process of acquiring a new laptop to replace my desktop (I am not dragging this monster on the beach) and now there are finally some attractive alternatives to buying a bunch of what are essentially overpriced bricks in your backpack. What would be even better is if there was a way to hook a few of them together, so put a stack of 3 held together with duck tape and the power should last longer then simply using one at a time. Where the heck is my hydrogen battery now that I actually WANT one? That will be the best!

Cool! This might be a good solution to feed my power hungry Sony Behemoth. I swear, the thing sucks juice like water through the Hoover Dam. And my friends lovingly refer to the fan as a "jet engine" and "leaf blower."

Seriously, this is an awesome device to have on hand for traveling or a long day of meetings. You never know when your laptop will be without a plug and you just need a little more juice.
