Handy Drive From US Modular

Usually when a USB flash-drive gets connected to some other kind of gadget, things go wrong. But US Modular might have actually done things right this time around with their Handy Drive. Aside from the goofy name, this USB drive comes with a pen and flashlight built-in. It’s pretty much the best McGyver tool for when a geek like you ventures out into the wild — and by wild I mean Brooklyn for those of us in NYC.

You can grab this handy little bugger for only $20 for the 128MB version. Larger versions up to 4GB will be available but no pricing or availability has been announced.

  • Ah hah, this is like the SwissMemory series which featured a flash drive mounted onto the Swiss Army knives of Boy Scout old. Except with this new multi-tool you won’t get jacked by airport security.

  • I’ve never understood these types of things, I used to get all sorts of this stuff as stocking stuffers, the 30 tools in one key chain, or the survival credit card. I wish people would stop making this everything in one garbarge.

  • 4GB version would be sweet! And if there is ever a power shortage… you can walk around with your laptop with its USB flashlight to find out who broke into your house!
