Isaiah:

I can see new UL and fire hazard codes being written right now, but I can also hear the crack and sizzle of electrical fires happening simultaneously across high school drama departments. Well you'd need USB powered spot lights first, but you get the idea.

There's only a matter of time before someone attempts to set a record for daisy-chaining USB products. :o

Why does it take so long for a manufacturer to come up with an idea like this? With some slick marketing, which undoubtly Sharper Image has, they could market an entire line of items with USB charging ports.

It is a great idea, but how much you can expand this to everything else is a different question/ballpark I think. I don't have that many items that require USB ports to charge, but I guess it would be nice to charge via USB port on my lamp than to take up another two powerslots with my various powerbricks behind the desk...

Attractive, probably cheap and if it only had a few extra USB ports, I would buy it just to get rid of my USB connections brick - I was needing a lamp anyways. There should be tonnes of these on the market as Scott and others are too busy buying up the USB pole stripping dancer. The planets have finally aligned in my favor... whooo haaa haaa haaa!
