I wouldn’t want to play on this thing full time, but if it means the difference between watching “Gilmore Girls” and gaming, I’m on-board for $170.

Read: for n00b’s who don’t want to be uncool and buy a 24″ tube TV for 50 dollars less.
Some products are good, and some aren’t. This is one of those specialty products marketed at kids who want things to match their systems, such as a 9.2 LCD tv. Of course these kids end up spending most of their gaming time complaining about how small the screen is, but heck, their screen matches their gaming console. This is how the market works though I suppose.
Isn’t the point of buying a CONSOLE to play a game on the biggest damn TV you can find? Otherwise, what is the point of buying a PS3 or XBox 360 and playing it on a HD TV if you end up playing it on a 9 inch screen? Geez… I have parts of my body longer then that… Josh, what you need to do is stand up for your rights as a fellow game player and if some guy wants to watch TV, give him this device hooked up to cable… he won’t notice the difference but you sure will! If the guy is bigger then you… just get a Nintendo DS and call it a day.

I agree with Jon’s 2nd comment. I just try to layout my case that it looks much better on a HD TV and she’ll usually give in.
@Kevin,
This is why I live alone. If I wanna watch Gilmore Girls (not that I *cough* even know who Rory Gilmore is, or anything), then that’s what I’m gonna do. And if I wanna whup some super villain butt in Marvel Ultimate Alliance for my PS3 (like I have been doing a lot recently), then that’s what I do. You guys are right… it’s easy to make a case for playing video games on an HDTV. You just have to make sure your case is made with a bottle of wine in your back pocket in case you need to pull out all the stops. :)
Yea, dunno if I’d want to play my 360 on that little screen… and the fact that the input seems proprietary means that besides my 360, I couldn’t hook anything else into it, either…
This reminds me all too much of the small screen for the PSone – the main difference between then and now is that the PSone wasn’t known for its graphics when the screen came out. :o If anything, I’d rather convince the significant other to game with me. :D
