I want a Snoopy Nano iPod for Christmas, Charlie Brown
For Dogs who flew in World War I and understand a little French.
I think that all iPods should come with an option to ingrave images instead of just text. :( But this looks pretty sweet, even if it is a Nano. >:[
Good Grief! This is really going too far with the limited editions of American classics only sold in Asia?
Any chance of getting some of these items stateside for someone special? Without that option it’s back to my security blanket.

Where snoopy goes, Kiss (the band) will follow… anyways, isn’t this how Apple SHOULD have released its special edition IPODS (U2, Red)? I think this is a fantastic idea and will help drive sales and at the same time, give something unique to the fans other then “hey, it comes pre-loaded with the bands albums” which incidentally, you can buy anyways… hopefully Apple gets the clue and follows suit.

The difference this specialty item and the U2/Red iProducts that have been released is that there are only going to be 1000 of these Snoopy Edition Nano’s, while they’re literally mass producing the U2/Red iProducts. In addition, once you make and market something like this, you’re going to be hard pressed to not do the same thing again but with a different theme, such as maybe a Charlie Brown iPod, or a NFL edition iPod. Then you just get a flooded market with lots of products that aren’t that neat or cool. Add the fact that this was released in Japan where people are crazy go nuts after products like this, you can’t really emulate a market like that stateside.
Jon… money is money… if there is money in “opening the floodgates” then why not? I think it would be really neat… you can “navigate” ipod models like you currently “navigate” songs ;-)
As long as ipod keeps its WHITE ear buds for the coolness factor (???)… everybody wins! I don’t see this being done for any other mp3 player out there so it would also help differentiate the ipod further from their competition.

I’m actually pretty dissapointed it’s not available in the US and Canada – it would make a great gift for a few people I know
I’m holding out for the Hello Kitty version.
