We’re screwed in the US because most of us will never buy a product that is not marketed by a big name manufacturer, who will undoubtly buy out Yoko, try to rebuild this video player, inevitably screw it up, market it as the “Portable Device of the Future” and sell it for 300 dollars. So goes everything reasonably priced and half decent that comes out of Asia.
Luckily for me, most companies decide to test the waters up here in Kanukistan before opening the floodgates for the US market… yet another reason to cherish the Canucks… eh?
I wonder if the front is as scratch resistant as the ipod nano? For the price, my guess is the sound quality isn’t too impressive neither but as Peter mentioned, he probably isn’t going to have it full blast in the office when he reviews his libraries of “anatomy 101″. ;-)
$50? That’s it?
I have to get one, even if that picture reminds me of a giant fingerprint pad.

$50 is unbelievable; I would love to have it, to heck with the Zune.
You really hit it on the head Jon but you forgot to mention that said “Big Company” would probably lose money on the item for the first five years.
Best wishes,

This looks like a great device, sleek design, mostly screen. I hope they come out with one with more memory, 1gb is not enough.
$50?? I wonder if the battery life is any good.
Either way, how isn’t this the perfect device to keep your kid entertained in the car or plane?
Hell, keep me entertained :)
