Reader Response: Festivus Week - Day 4

The sky is falling! Or at least is seems like it. There is some apocalyptic raining goin’ on down here in NOLA. Katrina Deux perhaps. Flooding everywhere. I saw kids paddling canoes down the street through several feet of water. Yea. It was messy. I spent most of the day cowering from rain and thunder—a solid excuse to make some headway in the new Pynchon novel Against the Day.
But none of that matters to you all I presume. I trust you’ve been awaiting the announcement of the the fourth Sandisk winner with bated breath. Good, because after some consideration, I’ve selected your fourth winner.

Amit is the winner of the fourth Sandisk Cruzer drive. He will be receiving a Cruzer Titanium for his efforts. Congrats.

For those of you who didn’t walk away victorious today, don’t fret. There are still a lot of prizes left in our reader response series. Tomorrow, for instance, we’ll have our big, big prize, a Nikon D40 digital SLR camera kit valued at $600. If you’re interested in making it yours, all you have to do is comment and be sure to enter your email address in the commenter information form.

Hey congrats Amit!
And you Blake, you’ll enjoy the weather in Chicago when you make the big move (this spring)? Nothing like biting hot weather and then frigid and blustering winters…

Thanks alot. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep up with the commenting and the wave of articles after wednesday. Medical school exams got in the way. Thanks again.

Don’t feel bad about not being able to keep up Amit… I have barely been able to keep up with myself as well ;-) I wish you the best in medical school… don’t worry, when you graduate, you will be able to buy a new camera for everyday of the week and drive a 740i - although the SLR McLaren is looking sweet as too!

Hey Jon, don’t forget about paying off the 9+ years of undergrad and med school debt! But I guess with a doctor’s paycheck, you’ll be done with that in about a year…
P.S. 740i, nice choice!

Congrats Amit. And good luck on the med school tests and papers. A little time off over the new year or just more cramming?

It is funny how many people cut and paste “Go Amit!” or something similar to just enter the contest. hahaha
Anyway, i thought i would do the same… and WIN BIG. fun stuff. Your blog gets better and better.

Nice work Amit, and Blake, at least you are not trying to get out of Denver this week, that’s like Katrina for Polar Bears.

UncleJayDee… Denver? Imagine what it’s like for those poor souls stuck in England airport for the holidays due to a fog that will probably last the weekend! Imagine, day after day, after day of grey skies, limited visibility and sleeping in an airport… jail seems like more fun!

Crunchgear rocks. Definitely a better gadget blog than those “other guys”
I’m sitting in DC and it’s cold and drizzly out, I honestly think I’d prefer the torrential downpour…

Stuck here in Denver. That Nikon would be great for taking just a few more snaps of the snow. However, it is a beautiful day here - blue skies and white snow. You should see it. And you could if I win the camera.
Congrats to all winners - I hope to join that club someday.
BTW - Just spoke with the Cingular PR guy on the 3G memo - he assures me that Denver will have 3G in 1Q07.
