Dear Mr. Levi Wallach ,

Our company, Mobilnova.com, provides Media Center for TomTom software, that allows playback of video and MP3 on the range of TomTom navigation devices.

We would like to propose to review our software in your publication, and provide a special demo version at your web site or include it on the CD distributed to your readers. In return we can offer special discount to you readers and are open to discuss other ways of cooperation.

We are looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,

I'm starting to think that people whom rely on navigation systems not only have no idea to get to where they're going, but they honestly don't know *where* they want to go. Points of interest? You mean you didn't research what was around you before hand? Or even worse, you don't know your own city? :P Mini rant aside, I can see why people would use it, but it seems like an exploring-crutch to me.

What am I doing wrong? When I go to the site the price I get is 80 Euro, which is $100. I want updated maps, but i'm not sure if they're worth $100 every year.

Why use this when you got mapquest.com (or .ca) at your disposal for free? Most routes, especially in the USA go north/south east/west direction anyhow... maybe I am one of those few special people who don't need a machine to say "turn left in 3.. 2... 1... NOW" type of thing to navigate my way to and from places of mystery. I find GPS only fun when your flying a plane, otherwise... yet another useless device, mass marketing via hype to turn a "interesting" into a "I got to have it for Christmas to figure out where I am" type gift. If you get lost out in the wilderness... a compass and moss is all you need, if it's winter and you are surrounded by pine trees... you can have a heck of a bond fire in no time... just need the marshmellows and some cocoa.
