I think the way it works is if you text the number, then send in your picture, they will flash it across the NasDaq billboard. So everyone wins in that respect.

In addition, you get entered for the contest. Not everyone wins in that regards.

I like the prize of the laptops, having my picture showcased at Times Square for all to see… ah, I don’t see the big deal, I would have preferred them to spend that money elsewhere like 3x the number of laptops they are giving away. Fame for about 10 seconds isn’t worth a 2-3K laptop… unless your William Hung - that now makes 3 things that I have absolutely no understanding of… I fear what else I will find out commenting on this blog!

Oh, that thing is rigged - I read the rules about how certain images aren’t allowed (figuring I’d might as well give it a shot anyway) and I’m guessing my image was turned down. But after looking at the ‘live’ feed, what do I find? TWO GUYS KISSING. And one of the guidelines for images not to be posted is:

Suggestive pictures: (including but not limited to: private parts, kissing, lewd conduct, sexual gestures).

Can I get a WTF?

Blake… that is a very nice picture of Time Square… where do you guys get this photography from? I see it every once in a while on this site… personal library?

Isaiah, it takes a while your picture to get up, I submitted mine about an hour ago, and it just came up. As for the “guidelines” they’re only guidelines… ;-)

I was one of the *10*, not 24, to win the GateWay laptop. Its pretty cool. I loved this promotion. But the laptop isn’t as valueble as it says.
