I hope you’re all having a great Christmas morning and I hope you got all the stuff you asked Santa for. After an all-day cleaning binge yesterday, I think my place is finally ready to accommodate the throngs of guests I’ll have later.

I got my mom a 42″ Samsung Plasma that she wanted for some time now. I’m bought my sis the Bose Quiet Comfort 3 series headphones and I got a brand new pair of shoes from my family. They are talking me into buying a Nokia N-series phone but I do not want to change my BlackBerry 8700g for anything whatsoever. I bought a Nokia E61 earlier this month and have’nt used it but for a day.
So, Christmas has been real fun for me to re-visit family ties.

Hi Sydney, Santa gave up giving me socks and underwear quite a few years ago… seems those pesky underwear gnomes always got to them before I did… they never seem to want the “used” stuff… always new. Damn gnomes – lucky for me they don’t like electronics!

Electronic gnomes… haven’t experienced those yet Blake… but if you mean computer gremlins… you better give me a whole section in CrunchGear – do I got stories for you! For some reason, these gremlins have a special kinship with web servers when your behind on backups!
I am generally pretty lucky with my electronics Blake, only needing to return them only once due to a defect… though my last headphones took 3 tries for Walmart to give me a working pair ;-)

Santa was good to me this year! Here are the gadgety items I received:

- Sandisk 2Gb Ultra II SD memory card (well, technically, I got this for my bday, but my bday is in December so it seems like Christmas)

X-Fi sound card. This thing makes all my music sound AMAZING! I have quite a few Allman Brother’s concerted recorded in loss less format and this card just gave new meaning to the word clarity. My jaw hit the floor the moment I fired up my media player and it’s been there ever since.
