Now that things have settled down a bit, let us know what you got from Sandy Claus. I didn’t get much — I picked up a Mac Pro and a new Longines watch a little earlier this month — but I did get new pajamas from the lady wife. I’ll take some pictures. Mmmm… man ham in sweatpants!
Otherwise I’m here in Warsaw with the wife’s fam and enjoying Becherovka, Sprite, and a slice of lemon… again and again and again. My liver hurts.
I didn’t get anything. :( I’m supposed to be getting something today, but I’m not banking on it. XD It also sucks that I couldn’t give presents this year, but I tend to give presents out at random points in the year anyhow.
Please…NO PICS…or I’ll have to be forced to make some. I can one-up the sweats; got some nice shower shorts; won’t go further with that.
Lots of good food for the holidays; kids got a few games and that absorbed their total attention!
I got a Samsung t619. It is aweeeeeeeeesooooooomee! except I realized that the bastards make you pay extra to get the stupid cord to connect to the computer so that you can put mp3’s on it! Damn! Any-who, I had a grrrreeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat christmas.
Plus, I didn’t hear this, but my dad called me while he was christmas shopping one day and asked me where the hell the Wii was in stock. I giggled and said, nowhere. Then he said that he was at Walmart and if a pre-order for a Wii when one comes in is okay. I tried to stay calm and answer, of course.
So I didn’t hear this, but I am getting a Wii for my christmas!!!!!! unless it comes in really late and it becomes a birthday present (my b-day is January 17, turning 14!)

The most useful/best present I got was a Belkin TuneBaseFM for my iPod, pretty good, unlike a lot of these FM transmitters I’ve tried before it wasn’t crackly or suffering from interference at all :) Makes using my iPod in the car so much easier. Obviously I did ask for a BMW so I had the dock already in the car, but alas, can’t get everything you ask for.
And yes, you’re readers are young! And get better presents than I do…
I got a DIY version of the Tardis. Came in a pretty small box. The strange thing is, I just keep pulling more and more parts out of it. Very strange. Unfortunately, they were backordered on tardis hearts. Hopefully mine should be in before the end of the millennium.
Seriously, though. My best surprise present was MacGyver season 1 on DVD. Truly awesome, had forgotten how much of a hero he was of mine as a kid (ok, I’m a dork). And my wife got a shirt for me for herself over @ ThinkGeek.com (the “I Love my Geek” shirt). That rocked. And I got a set of posters by a guy named Anthony Calfo. They are from over at MarineDepot.com and are on Reef Fishes, Corals, Plants, etc. And then there is a book by Lee Frost called, “The Complete Guide to Night & Low-Light Photography”. Very cool….. :)
And for my simplest, silliest presents, I got a wooden Ballista kit from ThinkGeek. And then there is Superman Returns (which I very much enjoyed).
And from the BBC, I got Doctor Who and Torchwood (which I just realized had started airing over there – woot!)….

I did get a load of Best Buy Bucks, which I’m going to hold on to until Wii’s are readily available, so that’s nice. Got some 360 games. Some Moleskine swag. Pretty good haul this year.
I got my Sony eReader !! Truly awesome peice of machinery and the most OPEN non DRM gadget sony has ever released ? (maybe they are learning ! yeah right)
Anyway the screen is simply amazing (though as I had read PDF support sucks but thats ok I don’t use many PDF’s
I also got a peice of luggage. Why is this special ? its ALL ORANGE !! I love orange with a passion so finding something like this was very cool :-)
