I dugg up some information that HD-DVD encryption has been cracked. Not much is known but here are three links you’ll need to know if you want to try backing up HD-DVDs (how sweet, right?)

So if you have an HD-DVD drive in your computer, get on this and start making scene releases of HD-DVD movies!
Way cool – it was only time, of course. I betcha some people are going to get sued pretty fast about this…..
This can either mean a lot or nothing at all depending on how the format wars go. I will remember this next time a PR says “this new encryption method… blah… blah… blah… is unbreakable” ;-)
If a computer can encrypt it, then by logic, a computer can un-encrypt it.
