The best I can tell, this is simply a regular runofthemill UV light.
Imagine what you can find in a University dorm room with these things… all the ceilings would light right up! ;-)
Other then forensics, if you don’t see it, it probably isn’t important enough to be seen in the first place.

jon, I agree, while “whatcha don’t know…” really can hurt you, I’d rather “live in bliss” so to speak…[shudders].
Just pointing this out:
Disney right now uses a finger print catalog system with 5 points of reference. When you use your ticket for the first time, you give them a finger print which they tag with ticket. From then on, you scan your ticket AND scan your finger. However, Disney will let you in if you have at least 1 point of reference, so I guess it’s more for kicks…
Ok, I’m gonna get one and report back (yuck) as to whether or not it actually works….
I recall a scene in Basic Intinct where one of these were used on Sharon Stone’s bed – protein stains indeed.
This is just another thing that will send airport security into a tizzy. They’ll probably think that it is used to blind the pilots!

I’m a germophobe as it is, but this is overkill, and will probably never let me sleep in a hotel again ;)
