A great (and free) alternative to this little device is a self made tower.

Simply drive over to your local Stop&Shop, Kroger, BigY, Meijer, or what have you, and find the pile of wooden pallets that they use to transfer groceries from the supplier to the store and rip off some of the floor boards. Nail them together in whichever configuration suits you best and slap a couple coats of black spray paint on it. That's what I did back in the day and it worked great for my N64, TV, empty pizza boxes, etc.

Perfect for the college student low on funds.

Um, it's shown holding at least 8 controllers plus a wireless headset... yet the product page doesn't show that same picture. Maybe you can buy extra snap-on controller racks?

As far as "gaming towers" go, this is pretty utilitarian. 60 bucks is a pretty decent price, but I'm pretty sure such a simple tower would be easy to replicate for less.

I wonder how fancy these towers can get. I remember one up here on CrunchGear that had fancy blue lights, but what about cooling fans and what not? I guess that isn't as important for the console systems hmm...

Oh well, it's 60 bucks I'm not going to spend (broke college student). I'll have to make do putting my N64 atop my xBox atop my TV. Yes it is an accident waiting to happen.

Whew, I was getting worried there for a minute. I wasn't able to access CG for a few days. Good to see every thing is back up and running smoothly. :-)

Anyway, this is pretty cool, although I still like that wooden one that was posted on here a while back. That thing was slick!

All it's missing it a Food-Lion handle and you could take this thing shopping. :) A bit of a step up from the milk crates we <strike>stole</strike> had, but they were more "modular", lol. Not a bad though...
