Logitech has announced the suprisingly low-priced X-240 speaker system. For $50, you get two satellite speakers and a subwoofer to crank out the bass, plus an “audio control center” where you’ll be able to dock an iPod or Zune via interchangeable docks. It’s not due out until April, but it seems like a decent system for the price regardless if you even own a Zune, iPod, or MP3 player in general.

Darn it, I just bought the current $50 version of Logitech’s 2.1 speaker system two weeks ago, and I’m really happy with it, but I wouldn’t have said no to this nice little add-on which mine didn’t come with!
It would be interesting to see a list of the top 10 most common connectors that you find on electronic devices. My guess would be USB and iPod connectors are pretty high up on that list! And I expect that my next dish-washer comes with an iPod connector so that I can listen to my music while my dishes are being cleaned ;-)
