I agree with Ted: "you don’t actually have your finger on the pulse", there will be huge flash disk buz, Sandisk is shipping to OEM fash Disks to go into laptops, Hitachi, Intel and others are competing on the best method to make PC boot time faster. Most important of all I am coming from Dubai to cover CES this year, stay tuned to www.itp.net for the IT in CES 2007:)

Don't worry Seth, seems like this got Digg effected, which as you know, results in a lot of unsavory comments. Thanks for giving the few of us that care some hints towards what you know/see coming at CES. Keep us updated!

Wow, this is pretty uninspired. Either it's going to be a really boring CES, or you don't actually have your finger on the pulse!

How about a phone that sounds superior to an old fashioned landline and is optimized to solve the many issues necessary to be optimized for mobile search? Now that would be disruptive!

Sounds good Seth. I'm surprised though, you're not expecting anything mindblowing to come out of CES this year?

You're iPhone-esque year sounds pretty accurate, as a lot of manufacturers are trying to get a jump on Apple before they actually do say anything about an Apple produced phone. Do you have any insight on new phone tech? Eh, I guess the tech behind cell phones is cramming more stuff in less space, so not that much.

I've been keeping up with the DLP vs LCD/Plasma game, and I'm surprised DLPs have lasted around for this long. DLP is pretty old tech, and with the prices of LCD and Plasma TVs these days, it was inevitable. Of course, from CES I won't be expecting the release of a new TI ad campaign featuring a silly little girl and her elephant exclaiming the wonders of mirrors, but maybe a DLP that actually shows something new on it. I'm mad that TI was so unoriginal with their DLP campaign because they just repackaged their old tech and sold it at ridiculous prices.
