So the OQO 01 didn’t float your boat… how about EVDO + wireless and a new design and keyboard. Add on Vista and potentially we have a winner. It’s still pretty expensive — $2,000 for a basic configuration — but it runs quite quickly and is extremely attractive. Here’s Dynamism’s take:

As everyone was sort of expecting, the much anticipated OQO 02 has been announced and is available for preorder at Dynamism. The OQO 02 is still the world’s smallest fully-featured Windows XP machine. This exciting new device also features a 1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD, integrated EV-DO wireless broadband, active digitizer touch screen, touch-sensitive scroll-area, and ultra bright outdoor-readable 5″ TFT.

  • Ok, now this i can get into. A full featured mini-pc ready for linux to take on the world. That price is a bit on the steep side for my taste, but it does offer some nice specs…

  • When you say it runs quickly, are you saying that it’s fast like the OQO 01 was fast? Because if that’s what you mean by “quite quickly” they’ve got a lot of work to do in the performance department.

I took the OQO 01 on a roadtrip through France and Italy and was about to throw the thing out the window by the end it was so slow.

  • My buddy got the first one and it’s pretty sweet – I think the price dropped too.

  • Hey Leo…..Did you read anything or did you just wake up on the wrong side of the bed? ……EVDO speed WWAN. I’d bet it can access websites as fast as your home PC. The model 01 and 01+ were sluggish, no doubt. The model 02 is nothing short of an idustry changing device. So, before you get all snotty, read the specs.

  • its wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy toooooo EXPENSIve
