Why are you bashing Fox news? Just do your job and report.

$2 is on the way. Jeff, he IS reporting, although I like Hannity, but it’s still true. It’s not bashing when it’s true.

Couldn’t you have just reported about FOX News is offering a live streaming feed of their audio!? I agree with Jeff, it’s quite hypocritical for you to say FOX News has crap coming out of their mouths…then turn around and bash them on this website. Please leave the politics for the other sites and just report about the cool tech stuff here…or say goodbye to your traffic.

WOW…can’t take a joke? David and Jeff should chill a little. Friendly fun is what makes the site rock; just gadgets would drag a little. If you had any imagination you could reply with a little jab; not a blatant flame/say goodbye.

And this is coming from someone who occassionally watches FoxNews (guess that blows my chances of winning any comment schwag again :( )

@ David: how is that hypocritical? Giving an opinion is one thing, so is reporting. If you report with a bias and own up to it, I’m for it. If Matt was saying he was “fair and balanced” and then bashed Fox, that’s one thing. But he didn’t, unlike one news network I can name.

And it’s not like pointing out Fox News’ bias is bashing, c’mon. They themselves admit that they cater to the right wing, I think this is just fine. And funny. Keep it up, Matt! And CrunchGear!

i don’t think this isn’t about hating Fox, it’s about making some fairly dry information more palatable. this is one of the main reasons i read crunchgear and i think matt is one of the funniest writers on this site. keep up the good work boys!

To answer the only question I see posed - Yes, I would vote for a smoker. I mean really, how pathetic a question is that when the elections always come down to a Turd and a Douche anyway…

Ah, I love it! Keep it up!

I happen to also agree. I certainly am not apologist or proponent of the Republicans, but this was just distasteful. As a blogger, I understand that you have some freedoms in the way you present your side, but you just sound like a hypocritical lummox by denouncing partisan rhetoric utilizing partisan rhetoric.

And to the individual that says Fox News is under comedy in Europe. Lies make baby Jesus cry. Please stop making baby Jesus cry.

@ Cook: I don’t believe it’s partisan rhetoric. I don’t see anything here about Republicans or Demorcrats, but it’s a known fact in America that Fox News is extremely biased towards the right, so the way they’re making fun of it really isn’t partisan. Pointing and laughing, to me, is middle of the aisle. :-)

And in case you think calling the “reporting” on Fox News “hate” is partisan, let me point out that a “commentator” on that channel just a few days ago referred to the esteemed Obama as a “halfrican”, and stated that the only reason anybody cares about him is that he’s black. Be that as it may, calling anyone a “halfrican” means you deserve to be made fun of like this.

Also, this is not C-Net or a news site, it’s a blog. A little observational humor isn’t just ok, it’s expected. Lighten up, the lot of you.

@Kirby

It isn’t about being funny or not funny, its hypocritical. And your argument of semantics, distinguising the “right” from “Republicans” is absolutely asinine.

I found it hilarious. Hilariously distasteful. I didn’t take insult from it…I am not going to lose sleep over it. It was just stupid. It isn’t about being uptight. It was just stupid. It isn’t about being partisan, or not-partisan, it was just stupid.

Personally, I don’t see much wrong in utilizing contrived vernacular to describe something, it is the basis of any type of colloquialisation. I don’t personally watch Fox news, but I don’t see anythin necessarily pejorative in the term “halfrican”. It seems to describe his racial makeup quite well. Maybe you are the one that needs to lighten up. I am not however going to turn this into a political debate, which you are trying to do. Let’s stick with commentary on the post itself, instead of rallying the troops with your inane examples please.

@ET

What the hell are you talking about? I consider myself pretty well educated, but I couldn’t understand half of your post :) It’s like watching Monday Night Football with Dennis Miller, he’s the only one laughing…for a reason.

BTW, not very original ripping off Lovie Smith. All you did was replace “Rex is our quarterback” with “it was just stupid”.

hehe, “halfrican” - I haven’t stopped laughing yet…

E.T.Cook (Who am I?)

I typically blather. It’s ok. As long as I understand myself whenever I post, that is what counts. If I ever get to a point where I don’t understand what I am posting, I am in trouble.

BTW: I have no clue who the hell Lovie Smith is, and have nary a clue as to what you are referencing. Many apologies if you find that offensive lol.

And as far as laughing. I have a physical deformity that prevents me from laughing. So laugh it up. I cry every time I think of people laughing, while I wallow in my misery.

No, seriously, I am laughing too

Looks like we can get our “hate” fix right here.

Here is the final word.

Gizmodo is excellent because they are funny and lighthearted and rarely political.

Endgadet takes itself very seriously and you have the impression that they sit around with goatees saying “Dude, it’s so unjust” all the time—self righteously lefty political…which is fair enough.

CrunchGear is new and uncharted so maybe they will try to be fair to both sides. Of course, that is impossible because left leaning fellows (and gals) cannot handle objective abuse.

Go no poly…that is the master’s advice.

So, what are your thoughts on abortion? Oh wait, nevermind… I’m sure you’ll tell us in a future post.

@Shawn

I just have to give you props. I laughed out loud with that comment.

Hey, look, everyone’s talking about politics, and not “gadgets, gear and computer hardware.”

I think that pretty much tells you what you need to know about writing a post like this.

BassKozz

I didn’t sign up for daily e-mails from TechCrunch to get politics. :(

Thanks Matt Hickey ::sour taste::

“Fox News, Cingular/AT&T Team Up to Spout Filth” tells all you need to know

In all honesty there is very little reporting amist all the opinionated rhetoric. If Fox News offends you politically please refer your righteous indignation to the proper channels.

As to the assertion that it is widely known that Fox is Right leaning, in a relative sense, i.e. compared to the other news networks, it holds true. But I do not see any other networks giving voice to both sides of the issues in the manner that Fox does.

Editor’s Note - This biting bit of criticism came from an anonymous source and I felt it necessary to share it here. Let’s all remember this when we move forward. We are all 100% gay and we all have 100% AIDS. - JB
