i just hope the 40D would have weather resistant seals like the nikon d200, and a faster burst rate say.. 6 or 7 fps, and same or cheaper than the 30D then that would really stir-up the competition..

I don't think Canon will jump to the 12 MP to keep the 5D still on, as there won't be much for it, mainly being full frame. Le'ts just hope they offer 10 MP.

Tell me about the 100-400 and dust. I got dust in mine during an airshow and made for some photoshop fun.

It has been obvious to everyone but Canon that all enthusiasts, who didn't want a dinky grip, would wait for the so called 40D from the day the 400 was launched. Everyone who has a push pull lens, like the 100-400, suffers from dust and we all want a larger and brighter lcd and the latest digi processing chip. The only doubt was whether Canon would stick with 10 megapixels or jump to 12. It looks like we shall soon know.

Is there any possibility that Image Stabilization will be included in the 40D?

It'll be interesting to see if Canon can match the EOS 30D in the low noise department with the 40D. The XTi managed to match the XT, so I have high hopes that Canon can repeat the feat.

And I also hope that the XTi's tendency to underexpose doesn't show itself in the 40D.
