I don’t get it. I’m not an expert, but I’m PRETTY SURE there is a huge market for HD porn out there. Look at the masses of people that stream to those porn star conventions (again, not an expert…). I would bet money that a lof of them would happily pay more to see their favorite porn star in a higher resolution, down to the tiniest pore on their naturally perfect (yeah right) bodies..
But most importantly, it’s just a natural technological evolution, and the porn industry will as usual be one of the pioneers jumping on the bandwagon from the beginning just like they did with the DVD. In a couple of years from now HD content will be the expected default, and then nobody will remember that it was actually a question if/when people would start releasing their content in HD.
