now named Garnet OS, and there is no foreseeable Garnet Treos in the near future.
The update will be available as an OTA download for 700p and 680 users only, we 650 die hards are again left out in the cold.

650 Diehards? What about us cheap neandrathals on the 600??
It is depressing, and looks very costly since their isn’t a great migration path at this time. The 680 puts you on Cingular/AT&T and doesn’t do much of an overall upgrade.
Don’t want to go MSFT or phone-based software….any clues into the next step? iDon’t go there at this point…that would still be iCingular and iCostly…

@ NW Guy: I can see a 650 user shying away from a 680 upgrade, as it’s more of a sidegrade anyway, the new features mostly being stylistic. But if you’re using a 600, then a 680 is a much larger leap. Think unlocked… ;-)
@ Stickney: The direct push stuff works with versamail, but I’m ok with that. And keep your kid, one day he’ll want to meet his real dad, and I don’t wanna be there for that.
