Macworld has got a video review of the Axiotron Modbook. If you’re not familiar with the Modbook, it’s a Macbook modded into tablet form. It still has all the standard Macbook features except now it also has a touchscreen display for drawing and whatever else you decide to do with it.

I dunno why anyone would really need one of these things, but if you absolutely must have one, it’s gonna be ’spensive: The Modbook starts at $2,279. Yea, I don’t need one either.

  • This is a very cool idea, yeah, I don’t need one either, drool. I’d be curious to see how expensive they will get.

  • 2700 for the top of the line model. Considering they are stripping a top of the line MacBook, throwing in a Wacom, the price is not thaaaat ridiculous. A Wacom 9×12 costs 410 new, plus all the work to make it all fit. pretty sweet.

    I would love to have one of these, but I’d never use it to its full potential. Chalk it up to CrunchGear to make me want more awesome and amazing stuff I could never afford.

    ::sigh::
