Not sure what to make of this, but the Inquirer is reporting that a group calling themselves The Ninja Team has created a modchip for the Wii that can play backed-up games. It’s apparently a 5-point soldered chip and will be available in the next month. I feel like calling bull on this, but we shall see.

Yeh I primarily thought it was a bit dodgy, but after speaking with several of the site owners who have seen in it in action, and are talking directly with the guys who’ve done it, I decided to go ahead with the article, it might in fact be very real….

i can confirm you it is real, in mexico city, chipped wii´s are now in the streets, you only need to know WHERE..
chipped xbox360 was also a hot thing in mexico city last christmas, and every xbox360 game has a copy too..
and it really don´t matter if you belive it or not, it just is.
