im with you it is good to save lives and besides, if that can take a hit from a black bear and you get up like nothing happened, keep the blessed thing! if it can take that much punishment and it is bullet proof, I’d buy it and let him keep it if i could. besides, the army has cheap cloth. yeah lets see the army hmm not much protection there and I agree with you Leuico.

The current IBA handles NJIS Level IV threats to plates and Level IIIa threats to the soft carrier. Moreover, it’s been subjected to military testing that goes beyond the NJIS. Meanwhile, there’s no indication that the Trojan has even been subjected to NJIS testing to even claim Level III threat protection to its plates or any level of threat to its soft carrier.

It really is incredible the opportunity any army had to become at least twice the strength they are now, could of even brought peace to the world at last, it makes me almost furious in a sense that such an idea could of gone to waste, and by the way, i’ve seen this thing move, it’s stunning how easy to move in it it is, baring in mind this guys an inventor, not a soldier so his levels of physical fitness wouldn’t exactly be peak and he still moves pretty dam good in it.

I have the utmost respect for this guy.

True, the design does look like a video game BUT, if it is as light as he says it is with the ballistic capabilities he says it has then I would much rather wear that on a convoy than the 40 pounds of armor that I wear now. As it stands, when a soldier is deployed, his face, neck, arms, groin, legs, and feet are exposed. That is a lot of possible severed arteries.

It might be too bulky for the infantry and Airborne troops but for convoy or sentry duty…I’d buy it if I would be allowed to wear it. I’d have to give it a Desert tan paint job though.

Hmmm….this is the same dude who developed Fire Paste, a radical compound which dissipates heat like nothing ever seen. I saw the suit in action on Daily Planet on the Discovery Channel only a couple weeks ago….and it’s a shame that it came down to that.

Perhaps he should sell his idea to one of the said sub-contractors, as they’re the ones making the stuff afterall.

Needed… yes… will become available… no… why? Politics. If politicians actually cared about the lives of their soldiers, they wouldn’t send them to work everyday in a meat grinder without any purpose nor way out other then dying. If there was a rule that any politician who sent people to war would have to LEAD their soldiers on the battlefield – the world would be a very peaceful place.

Hats off Troy, I wish him the best of luck – its sad to see a genius go through hard times due to the arrogance and ignorance of others in power. I bet the Pentagon didn’t go for it because they didn’t invent it and worse, would have hurt the bottom line of one of their subcontractors. I wish I had the money laying around, I would love to fund this guy to keep working on his ideas without having to worry about hydro or putting food on the table.
