With games on the Wii looking like Jetmoto for the PSOne, most consumers were hoping that in time, Wii games would start to look a little better. Heck, maybe after a year or two, games could have graphics like Gears of War, right? Wrong!
Epic has stated that the Unreal 3 engine will never be making it to the Nintendo Wii. Why? Epic says the engine isn’t designed for Nintendo’s hardware.
So while I call the waaahmbulance for the Wii fanboys crying over their shoddy graphics, I suggest picking up an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 if you want to see some crazy details and extreme lighting on a console game. Because, you know, Epic is down with those consoles.

Haha, ‘waaahmbulance’. I think most people know the Wii’s graphics aren’t going to get too much better than they’re currently at, which means the Wii isn’t going to be getting a lot of ports from the ps3 and 360, if any.

Actually – this might be a good wake up call for some. I still hear many wii fanbois claiming that the graphics are going to get much better…it’s just not going to happen. The Wii is only slightly more powerful than the ORIGINAL xbox…and you paid $250 for the wii???
I paid $199 for my XBOX 360 – PREMIUM…just look around…be diligent enough, and you can get a good deal.
I won’t get a wii until I feel like I’m not getting skrewed by Ninetindo – so, when the price drops to around $149.

The graphics on the Wii are good enough. Scratch that, the Wii can produce some AMAZING graphics. While not to the extent of the 360 (I have both), many times Zelda and Red Steel have had me staring at the TV in awe.
And have you seen some of the screenshots of Mario Galaxy? Georgeous.
Oh, and while Epic has said that their Unreal Engine 3 (or whatever) isn’t coming to the Wii, they have expressed interest in developing for it. :)

wii? who cares, if im going to play a game that simulates baseball or golf to the point where i have to swing my arms like the real thing, then im going to play the real thing, remember kids there is a world outside your parents basement. O and dont qoute me that all you have to do is use a flick of the wrist, because if thats all you have to do then why not just press a button? its easier, and you wont get carple tunnel syndrome, ps3 and xbox360 all the way

Yeah, you’re right. I mean, why shoot the Yakuza in Red Steel using an accurate and initutive interface, when I can just go outside and do it? Man, I’ve been an idiot. Instead of playing Exite Truck, I should try and make my own super-monster truck, and fling it fifty feet in the air. There IS a life outide your mother’s basement, THANK you.
