
A new patent for a cell phone with a screen on the bottom and keys on top is set to revolutionize the world. Well, not quite, but at least it will be ergonomically correct. The design is so obvious that I wonder why more phones aren’t designed this way.

I think part of my palm would cover the screen while I was pressing buttons.
Yeah, I completely thought “This looks stupid because your hand would cover the screen while you type.”, but then I turned my phone upside-down, and tried to type.
It actually worked surprisingly well, considering that everything was upside down. I could see the screen fine, though. It helped that I was holding my hands apart, not totally together. It’s hard to describe, but try it. This might actually be a good idea.
Meh. It works… but I see no benefit from the traditional orientation.
