Whoever gets fooled by this picture must be completley blind. If you are going to just darken the image of the xbox, and paste it onto a white background you wont fool anyone!

Even though i love my xbox 360, why couldn’t they do this in the first place? But at the same time, doing this will so beat ps3 for sure (graphics wise), if 360s’ graphics can beat ps3’s with only components, then…well you get the idea, but this sucks for us 10 million ppl who have already purchased an xbox 360, because now we either have to go purchase it again or..just get stuck with verison 1.0

Although, I’d still prefer to read substantive content, backed up by facts and reliable sources…

Yeah but now it’s practically the same price as PC, and still without that extra HD DVD Drive that will cost an extra $200 making this Black 360 with HDMI, about $800…which is a lot more expensive than the already black Blu-Ray HD ready PS3.

The $749au to $580us conversion is suspect. Myer currently sells the 360 premium for $599au, which at the same conversion rate would put the 360 premium at $463us. If you just take current pricing for the premium ($599au and $399us), the $749au price would equate to about $500us, which is $100 more than the premium is currently going for (and seems more reasonable)

I call bullshit. Australia always gets this sort of technology months after the US - if it’s going to be on the shelves in April down under, it’d have to have been for sale for the last half a year in the states.

Actually I work at a video game retail store, and today we had the price of this system into our computers. The description in the computer is X360 Black (120g), $479.99 is the going rate for one of these, awesome price, still cheaper than the cheapest PS3 and a hell of a lot more worth it. And I would expect mid if not late april for the release, although I still havent heard anything official…

and they use to say ps3 was expensive, lol, microsoft trying everything they could to stop sony, but anyways they should check their market stratagy cause ps2 still sell more than xbox and xbox360 together..lol

you don’t know much, do you young buck.
1st: an upgraded HDD and HDMI doesn’t improve graphics. 2nd: HDMI (digital)> component (analog) in any and all situations when it comes to transfer of the same video content…proven fact.
3rd: 360’s graphics? 360 didn’t make those graphics. The GAME DEVELOPERS did. you think Gears of War is the shiznit because of 360 right? wrong. The thanks goes to EPIC GAMES and their UNREAL ENGINE3. Guess what, those type of graphics WILL be on PS3 as well. How so? Unreal Tournament, using the SAME UNREAL ENGINE from EPIC GAMES, made by Midway.
btw, i play Gears too. Guess what i noticed: campaign- Not much more than a handful of enemies onsreen at once. No sense of immersion whatsoever due to lifeless environments/not much going on in the background. And, there’s a pretty awful lag when the textures are loading up. hmm,
Therefore, all that horsepower was pushed to the limits for the character models, which left not much room to process much of any type active environment. 1+1=2 ya dig?

if this new system will look better then the original xbox 360 on my 40 inch 1080p lcd then i will deff buy it.
