Everyone from Google to TomTom are going to be keeping a close eye on Nokia soon. The Finnish telecom company is rolling out a free maps-and-directions service called “smart2go.”

Smart2go will have local search, directions, locations and maps crammed into its mobile-phone software. Car-based navigation will also be included at no additional cost. The service rolls out February 10 and will be available from Nokia online.
