3GSM.

Using a Nokia N series handset embedded with the Wisair 542 chip, the company will show visitors to the WiMedia Alliance area (the rest of us will just have to take their word for it) just how great it will be when you can use Wireless USB to transfer pictures and video off your mobile phone and onto your computer—wirelessly. Assuming the carriers don’t lock down those features to keep you from using it.

  • Wireless USB does not impress me, it’s simply a way to transfer a lot of data really fast, wirelessly, whcih is all good and fine, but wireless USB is the wrong name for it. What would impress me is if it could recharge devices wirelessly, then it would be wireless usb, this is possible with induction charging, combined with some bluetooth device iD tech.

  • Is that really possible Q? Because that would be great. I mean sending data is the easy part, but to send power too would be amazing.

  • usb mean data transfer is much more slow y u all go for firewire.

  • Interesting concept, except that I wouldn’t want someone wirelessly gaining access to my computer through my USB port.
    Where’s the security in that?
