i got this set and it took me 12 days to do. (with breaks in between) its simply mind boggling how big it is-dont know where to display it! hah-the certificates kool too, i got #2927

Has taken me 8 hours now just to fully finish the frame superstructure. (completing the front two triangular sections. I don’t sort my parts though and the ISD ended up taking me 16 total hours to build as a result, though that one went slower as well as I built it on my bed.

I just got mine – I opened the box and was a little overwhelmed when I opened up the instruction manual- It was huge! My certificate was #1722

It took me five hours just to color-sort the 5000 pieces. The immensity of how much space 5000 pieces takes up doesn’t hit until you open the box. Ri-DUNK-ulous…

I pay homage to all that is Star Wars. Too bad my birthday just past. They really put some detail into it guess that is why it is so big.

I think the Lego Death Star II as well as the Imperial Star Destroyer also deserve to be mentioned, at $200 each and with over 3000 pieces each a nice addition to that Falcon, albeit all three are (obviously) not in scale to each other (haha, I would like to see the Death Star in scale to the Falcon!). Also, neither of them come with any mini-figures, so the Falcon is undoubtedly the coolest model!
