Nokia E-Series: E90, E65, E61i

Communicator lovers rejoice. The E90 is a vast improvement over the fat Nokia Communicators of yore. This Quad-band beast has HSDPA, WiFi, and Bluetooth along with dual cameras and mapping apps and sync. There’s a nice fat keyboard and an internal screen. Best of all, it has mini-USB so you don’t have to use Nokia’s weird connectors on this one. $900 in Spring 2007.
The E65 is a “slim slider” with all your basic S60 features. No touchscreen, no keyboard. Just a tiny smartphone with 2-megapixel camera.
Finally, we have the E61i, an upgrade to the E60. This phone is $400 and will be available in the Spring. It has a full QWERTY keyboard and 2-megapixel camera along with a full complement of email connectivity options. Very slim and slick.

I was using N80ie and have since change to E65. Good business phone with all the neccessary applications however, the camera lens is so miserable without flash/mirror and front camera for 3G. I thought Nokia can put in at least 3 - 3.2 MP camera as I did lots of presentation and project surveys (business) with the camera/video features with N80 and very clear but less with E65. And sadly too, the font size too small for email reading, etc … ummm… Maybe will wait till Nokia comes up with an upgraded version E65i or E66.. Cheers!!!

E is meant for business phone, so forget about RADIO, less emphasis on MUSIC (can be found in music edition phones), GAMES (can be found in N-Gage/N series phones), NAVIGATOR (can be found in 6110, N95 etc). Best with good camera like 6500 slide for business presentation, front camera for business 3G calls, and font size features for business emails and text communications. That’s E 6… ??

E-90 is out of this world, but consider it being a dual SIM machine. This will be the upgrade.
