The guys over at Ars Technica must have some free time. Seems Ben Kuchera took time out of his day to hook up an NES, two NES clones, and a Wii (Virtual Console) and tested the original Super Mario Bros. game for quality. Sure enough, like all good fanboys would, the Wii was chosen as the best looking console. Gee, didn’t see that coming. Says Ben:
“I know the Virtual Console pictures are unfair—it’s a $250 system hooked up through component—but if you have the means, this is certainly the way to go. It makes your NES games look beautiful, and that may help me justify the cost of buying the games again”
Though I hate the Wii, yes, the game does look the best on the Wii’s Virtual Console. Great write up Ben. When you do a four-system test of the hit classic BiasedRunner!, let me know.

How do YOU have enough time to “hate” something as trivial as a gaming console? I don’t understand how people can be so adamant about picking a side. Each console available today has some advantage/disadvantage when compared to another console. If you can’t get your hands on all the consoles you want, just pick whichever one(s) will suit your wants and needs best until you can. Whopdee doo. Geeze…

Are you paid by Sony to spread this anti-Wii crap? Is this website another of their Viral marketing tactics? Or are you just a fanboy?
I’ve bought only a few VC games, and while they look as good as they ever did the instant and automatic saving will keep me buying more as they come out. You just hit the home key and pop back to the main menu if you don’t want to save traditionally and next time to open the game you pick up exactly where you left off. Extra good on games you can’t save at all on, like all three NES marios and Metroid for example.

Because when I turn the power off and turn it back on on my fc twin while playing super mario bros for the NES, The data is erased. But when I reset, the data is not erased. someone pleses tell me how to make so it saves!! Please!
