Horn Tones: Oh, God, Why!?
by Matt Hickey on February 15, 2007

This is a really, relly bad idea. I think, anyway. Maybe some of you might have other opinions, but you’d be wrong. As if MP3 ringtones weren’t enough, they were followed up by “caller tunes”, the MP3 that plays to people calling you instead of that ringing sound. The next logical step, of course, is taking MP3s to the car horn.

Yes, that’s what we have here with HornTones. It’s an MP3 player that you connect to your car horn, so that instead of a boring old honk, you can blare Waiting On The World To Change by John Mayer to experss your anger, triggering a bout of road rage that would surely be fatal.

You load it up with your USB thumbdrive, meaning you can change the ring horntones any time you want. We cannot imagine why anyone would want this, but then, we know that some people will, and we know they’re out there. And, fortunately, they won’t be hard to find.
