I’m sure one time or another you accidently burned Wedding Crashers to a DVD-R so you could watch it over your friend’s house. What you didn’t know is that the MPAA was tracking you and now has a SWAT team sent to your house to take you into custody. How could you possibly destroy the evidence quickly enough to knock years off your sentence? With CD Punch.

CD Punch is a small, plastic device that lets you slide a CD or DVD in and punch holes in it – thus voiding the data on the disc. Perfect for destroying discs full of private or secure data. It’ll run you about $6.

  • actually the metallic layer is not where the data is. The ink layer is what is modified by the laser… If the destruction method only destroys the reflective layer, I would bet it could be replaced, by someone determined enough. Thermite and a fireplace or clay enclosure would work handily on any cd/dvd collections…

  • Alan:
How dare you put down people who live in trailer homes!?!?

Many Katrina victims still live in FEMA provided trailers; are they stupid?

How about someone who grew up with less opportunity than you; does that make them stupid?

Who keeps CD’s anymore anyway? I thought it was all MP3 and Ipod(video or otherwise) now, or are you too stupid to use new tools?

“The telephone was ringing, when I heard a knock upon my door….”
