Amish competitive gaming uses no electricity.
With the rise of real “faces” like Fatal1ty and his ilk, competitive gaming is starting to really hit NASCAR levels. Major League Gaming is now working on bringing competitive gaming footage to TV, mobiles, and online for the amusement of ever-ravenous fans. Their deal, in partnership with Flame Ventures and talent agency Endeavor, include holding and televising a Pro Circuit Tour for pro gamers.
MLG signed its first TV deal with the USA Network last year and this will expand their reach considerably and, potentially, place competitive gaming on the same category as televised college and even some pro sports.
My question is this: will people sit for two hours watching Halo. I suppose they will, but it’s a bit hard to grasp.

About a month ago a friend of mine was watching a Counter Strike finals game on fragTv, and said I should watch too. Now, when I hear something THAT nerdy (”Hey, let’s go play Magic cards!” “LARP, anyone?”) I usually get this sinking feeling and try to go do something cool. But I gave it a shot…
An hour later, I was hooked. It was, bar none, the greatest competitive game I have ever watched. I’ve watched hockey, football, F1, rugby, and CS blew them all out of the water. It went into triple overtime! But there was one thing that really impressed me: the commentary. It was incredible. Put every other commentator I’ve heard to shame.
My point is, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!
I find it hard to grasp that people will sit for hours and watch balls getting thrown around a large rectangle of grass or cement, and yet they will. Why not? At least you have something more to look at than people and balls with videogames :P
Hard to grasp?… They sit for two hours watching boring ass baseball. Are you insane?
