nice laptop, but who needs 5 usb ports? come on!
I have a usb hub out of my macbook which I have coincidentally, 5 usb ports used.
(camera cable, keyboard/mouse sensor, external HD, laptop cooler, hub/laptop connection).
I do. I’m constantly running out of USB ports with my laptop at work. Why do you think USB hubs sell so well?
As for the laptop, I thought it was awesomely designed until I saw the side view. What were they thinking?
I’ll take 5 USB ports too! The samsung notebooks they show off at the NYC showcase are always pretty cool. This is the first black one though to me it looks a lot like the piano black glossy 14.1″ hp sells.
Not sure how much this is but I do like that on pc side you can get dedicated graphics ram for $1,000. It sucks that to get a Apple lappie (new) with dedicated gfx memory you have go Pro and spend $2,000 though, ultimately, the Pro is a much better machine in other ways too.

Seriously? I can’t think of more than one occasion when I have needed more than two ports. Well I guess 4 against 1 wins out.
Normally I wouldn’t need more than 2, but on occasion I’ve needed at least 4: sidekick, camera, iPod and rechargeable battery.
I don’t think those are 5 USB ports in a row. I think those are just vents.
After closer inspection I think Spencer is right. If you check the last picture, you’ll notice the USB ports stacked on top of each other.
from the side and down under it looks like the rocky mountains and thats not in the near of a macbook pro design. im not a mac fan, but the design of the macbook pro is unbeaten and that simple…

Ok maybe i got carried away, this is an uglier notebook than most. the way the ports just jut out of the sides and the lumpy bottom are just not sleek like the top. it is better than those hideous navy and silver hps. but hey, MAC RULES.
and its an opinion that i think its ugly.
