If you’re one of those stern parents worthy of being called a fascist, then allow me to direct your attention to the SnoopStick. This USB device comes imbued with software that allows you to monitor remote systems.
Simply plug the SnoopStick into a PC that needs spying and 60 seconds later its compromised and you can snoop on it from anywhere. The software is completely invisible, so basic users probably wouldn’t be able to discover it.
To monitor the systems, just plug the SnoopStick into your own system and select the snoop function. It will show logs of all the systems you’ve compromised. Great.
Available now for $60.

Hmmm… not sure what to think about this. The product page or FAQ don’t give anything away about what actual software/technology is being used to accomplish what they are promising. I find it hard to believe that they are not using a mashup of existing tools to gather the data. Also not sure if it really does more than simply copy some log files from known locations onto the USB drive. It seems to claim some kind of remote desktop functionality, which I would assume probably comes in form of a VNC listening server.
Someone should buy this and let us know what it really does. Tempted to call bull on this. Not that it doesn’t exist, but I don’t think it’s as cool as they want to make it sound.

My guess is that it does use some kind of VNC solution.
It is able to do screen captures, monitor all web traffic including chats on Yahoo, MSN, AIM, captures e-mail header information.
