As an upconverting player it's the best I've seen, including both new Oppo players. And I watched Ant Bully and Sahara on HD-DVD last night and it was unreal. I think this unit, if it can be found for $400 online, I'll just have both, then be future proofed. The worst case on the toshiba that I bought, it was a $400 upconverting player, and regular DVD's looked awesome. And in the interim I get to enjoy my HD-DVD's that blockbuster online has.
