I tried everything, really! but then... i held down the menu and the select buttons for real long... after i had smacked it and dropped it a few times earlier, this made the screen turn off, and then it restarted,seeming fine,as it now is!!! but BEFORE IT WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ANYTHING!!!!!! so just try smack and drop first then hold down menu and select vbuttons for a long time!!! i almost GARANTEE that THIS WILL WORK!!

As a last resort before I cracked the case, i tried the 6" drop on to the carpet. Didn't think this would do anything, but what the hey! It came on right away and is working fine. I laughed my **** off.
