Olympus’ E-410 10-megapixel digital SLR is aimed at both photography beginners and professionals, with a few unique features that separate it from the rest of the crowd. Beginners will appreciate the 176-dgeree viewing angle Live View LCD. The logic here is that people who’ve never used a digital SLR before won’t be comfortable using an optical viewfinder, so Olympus has taken great care to make sure the LCD doesn’t suck. Throw in a dust reduction system that removes unwanted particles from the image sensor and the company’s proprietary TruePic III image processor that helps ensure accurate colors and reduces noise, and the E-410 isn’t a bad deal at all.

Like with most, if not all, DSLRs, Olympus sells the camera and lens separately. The camera itself will go for $699 when it hits stores in May; with an ED 14-42mm lens the prices jumps to $799 while both an ED 14-42 and ED 40-150mm lens take the price to $899.
