Sony NW-A800 Caught On Tape
by Peter Ha on March 5, 2007

Sony must have been under a rock for the last 2 years, but I suppose it’s better late than never. To wit: Sony has finally entered the video media player market. The NW-A800 series Walkman will be hitting shelves in Europe in April, but we won’t see them for quite some time.

The new Walkman will be available in 2GB ($230), 4GB ($290) and 8GB ($385) models. You’ll be able to choose from white, black, pink or blue and view videos in portrait mode on a 2-inch LCD. A fully charged battery will churn out around 30 hours of music or 7 hours of video playback. Videos at lower bit rates will drain the battery much faster while taking up less space. Sony could sure use a hot selling product, let’s hope this is it.
