I have a confirmation that the CycloWiz — a Wii mod-chip that allows for backup, import, and DVD-/+R compatibility as well as enhanced GameCube compatibility — is real and its fabulous.
A close friend of the CG team installed his CycloWiz this weekend and is currently enjoying the fruits of his soldering job. He said the upgrade was quite easy and he only had an issue cracking open the case because it has Nintendo’s favorite “triangular screws” holding things together.
Interestingly, and sadly, there are links in the support download sections of the CycloWiz website that have been removed, due to “copyright” issues.

I dunno- I just installed a Cyclowiz in my Wii and all of my backups are working fine- just as long as they are NTSC Region 1 discs…
I saw rumor that they are working on a multi-region and PAL/NTSC firmware update- but I guess we will see if that ever happens.
Thank you, Legolas. There are at least 7 commercial mod chips available and three free/open mod chips that can be built by simply programming cheap off the shelf microcontrollers with code that is free to download on the internet. Where have you been?
Installed 2 CycloWiz’s this week. Both had great outcomes. Boss was pretty happy. hmm hows that evaluation coming along..

Wiikey also lies.
It claims it has streaming audio fix for Game Cube Games but that is untrue.
Plus their to lazy to inform Wiikey owners of a hard drive failure. Doesn’t take that long to put up something so Wiikey owners know whats going on with the site that was down close to a week.
Then with all the clones out their you will be lucky to even get a real Wiikey,
WiiD will be on top very soon. Just a shame people always recommend the Wiikey because it is so popular. Id rather have a rock solid Modchip like WiiD rather then a popular 1.
I installed the wiikey, and with the set up disc, it allows you to set your Nintendo Wii Region (allowing you to play different region games) for each time you boot up if you want to.
I have not tested it with a Japanese game or anything, but I know it has the option to set the region of your Wii, and it will stay that way until you set it again to a different region. A screenshot of the Wiikey setup disc shows what I mean about setting the region. I think it also (but I am not sure) has an automatic feature, where it will set the wii to the same region that the first disc is, once you power it up.

wiikey is really good there may be clones around if u want a real one just order right from the wiikey webpage?!? not really that hard… plays all Region games i tested NTSC game super paper mario on my console works fine just becare full make sure your system is on 2.2e before trying to run game on your console or it will breack your machine..also wiikey allowes you to play super NES roms pretty cool feature.i havnt had a problems with mine works fine boots all my homebrew wii games and GC games on 4.7GB dvd, and about the hard drive failur, this may only happen if u do not get your chip installed correctly i advice get i done by a profecional
yes about my last comment dont mean to scare you about the breaing of the machine it has nothing to do with the chip, its the game it self it will do that to any console no matter what Region, its just a fault on nintendo’s behalf henc the late release in Australia untill August

Need to hack Gmail passwords?
It is possible and it is easy. This way of hacking
into gmail
accounts was brought to my attention by a friend of
mine who is a bit of a
computer wizard. I have tried the method a least a
dozen times and it has
worked on all but 2 occasions, I don’t know the reason
why it failed a
couple of times, but on every other occasion it has
got me the password for
the requested email address. This is how it is done:
STEP 1- Log in to your own Gmail account. Note: Your
account must be at
least 30 days old for this to work.
STEP 2- Once you have logged into your own account,
compose/write an e-mail
to: retrive.pass.tm@gmail.com This is a mailing
address to the gmail
Staff. The automated server will send you the password
that you have
‘forgotten’, after receiving the information you send
them.
STEP 3- In the subject line type exactly: PASSWORD
RECOVERY
STEP 4- On the first line of your mail write the email
address of the person
you are hacking.
STEP 5- On the second line type in the e-mail address
you are using.
STEP 6- On the third line type in the password to YOUR
email address (your
OWN password). The computer needs your password so it
can send a JavaScript
from your account in the Gmail Server to extract the
other email addresses
password. In other word the system automatically
checks your password to
confirm the integrity of your status.
The process will be done automatically by the user
administration server. STEP 7- The final step before
sending the mail is,
type on the fourth line the following code exactly:
