Alarm Clock, Piggy Bank Hybrid

I can’t get up in the morning to save my life and I’m terrible at keeping my spare change in one place. This, then, is the greatest alarm clock hybrid gadget my weary eyes have ever seen. The Banclock lacks the snooze button I’ve grown fond of, which actually leads to my demise in the morning. The only way to turn the alarm off is to feed it some change. So all you need to do is put a pile of change in one corner of your room and the alarm clock in another corner – GENIUS! Banclock retails for $52.

Haha, I always wonder who comes up with that stuff, but anyway, it reminds of a question I’ve been meaning to ask: I have looked around online and in various toy stores to find anything like what I would call a “geek piggy bank”. I have tons of change lying around everywhere, and I hate those filthy change jars, no I need something that is worthy of existence in my gadget-infested home. I need something that makes other people shake their had, for example if it had a display that showed the money I put into it, but not as an ordinary number but in binary code! Ha!

Seriously, Toys’r'Us actually had some of those piggy banks that count the change for you, and then on Amazon I found some of those electronic coin counters that even sort the count in tubes etc. I have no interes in rolling them up and ever bringing them to the bank (no, that would make it way too useful!), no it’s just supposed to look cool, do something geeky, and hold loads and loads of change. Any ideas?

I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but I’m going to try my damned hardest to get this one. The snooze button is the bane of my existence.
