That sucks. That has never happened to me from my high speed internet provider. My broadband is fast and http://ds1providers.com is reliable.

A lot of providers are deceptive about the bandwidth you get. But there are some reliable broadband providers who give affordable t1 and affordable dsl for residential t1 lines and business broadband.

I got bumped off the Verizon WiFi for using too much, they reinstated me but I had to start my contract all over again. It is the only internet access I have, so I had to pay up. Now they tell me that when Rev A comes to my area I can upgrade and bandwidth isn't supposed to be an issue.

Another 150 dollars plus two years and I really want an iPhone, wrong company. Sigh.

A few years ago this happened to a friend of mine. He had Roadrunner Broadband and got a call that he was using too much bandwidth, so he upgraded to business class. And a few months with that he still got a call saying he was using too much so I think he upgraded to whatever was after that. And he's not even a business, just a regular torrenter with something downloading 24/7.
