Go Against The Grain: The Sand Time Watch
by Vince Veneziani on March 19, 2007

All hilarity aside, the Sand Time Watch from designer Pavel Balykin is one of the most stunning timepieces around. If you play a lot of Pictionary, Scatagories, or other board games where a timer is needed, then this watch would certainly fit into your wardrobe. The display features the time like a basic clock would, but when put into screensaver mode, the watch turns into a virtual sand timer that mimics grains of sand dropping down to the bottom of an hourglass; in this case a minute glass.

Though currently just a concept, these watches may be making their way to the market some time during 2007. If so, you’ll be able to scoop one up in metallic orange, blue, or silver.
