		<description>The R-D1 is one of two digital rangefinders on the market, the other being the $5,000 Leica M8. Plus the R-D1s has been out for some time now, though I don't think it's ever been officially sold in the US. You can update the firmware on an R-D1 to the same specs, though.

If you don't know or appreciate what a rangefinder camera is or why you'd want one, that's fine, but don't expose your ignorance like that, it looks bad. The article is not even funny.</description>
