The Nokia N95, also known as the “fattie media phone,” has finally started shipping to the important markets in Europe and Asia. (Of course, we’re left high and dry.) Nokia’s not even marketing it as a cellphone, but as a “multimedia computer.” The slider has a 5-megapixel camera, built-in GPS and support for mobile broadband technologies like HSDPA and EDGE. Sounds like a cellphone to me.
The N95 runs on Symbian S60 and does a lot of what Apple’s iPhone does, just without the touchscreen and holier than thou attitude.

As someone whos been waiting for this piece of hotness for much too long, this news saddens me greatly. I dont even care that the battery life sucks. I might have to start looking at HTC but man I don’t want to switch to WM..

Umm, the multitouch screen is a pretty HUGE deal to be dismissed so easily.
Or it could end up being annoying to use and a big flop – we shall see. Buttons are proven!

Ha, that is so cute. It’s 3G, has a built in GPS and can record 30fps video – does the iPhone have any of that?
